From your first save to taking your whole library with you.

Getting started

SREFLY for Chrome is a standalone Chrome extension; no desktop app is required. Verify your email on first use, without a password or card details. A 30-day trial starts after your first successful verification. The same email keeps its original expiry on a new installation.

Use desktop Chrome 120 or later. Mobile visitors can read the guide but cannot install the extension. Safari, Firefox and Edge are not verified environments for this Chrome release.

Saving and organizing

Open the srefly sidebar in Chrome and save webpage images or selected text through their context menus, or add items manually in the sidebar. Add Prompts, SREF, sources, collections and tags later. Images and text need not be completed all at once.

Start with “Save images first, add Prompts and SREF later”. For project references, read “Organize your next project with collections and tags”. Homepage demos use sample data only and do not read or write your extension library.

Backup and migration

Export a complete .library backup from Settings → Backup & export in the extension, keeping all files. Import it after changing computers or Chrome profiles, then check that images, text and collections are complete.

Uninstalling, clearing Chrome storage or deleting a profile may remove local saves in that environment. Back up first and verify recovery. Source-only media may also become unavailable if its website fails.

You manage folder libraries and backups yourself. There is no automatic cloud sync or version history. Recovering a license does not restore saves, and a library backup does not transfer a license.

Report an issue

Email support@srefly.com with the extension and Chrome versions, operating system, approximate time, reproduction steps and error message. Hide private images, personal information and license keys in screenshots. Do not send verification codes, passwords, private keys or your full collection.

Support is handled manually by the operator; live support is not provided. If a verification email is missing, check spam and your entered address, wait for the displayed cooldown, then use the latest code.

What if an image cannot be saved?

Check the save status in item details first. “Source link only” does not mean an image copy was saved. Only successfully saved copies remain viewable when the source is offline or unavailable.

Saving may fail because of permissions, sign-in requirements, image format, size or temporary URLs. Follow the permission prompts in item details and retry. If fetching still fails, add the image manually if you have the right to save it.

The current save limit is 12 MB per image, subject to format and decoding checks. An image appearing in a webpage preview does not prove that the extension saved a copy.

How are Prompts and SREF imported?

Save selected text or enter Prompts and SREF yourself. Recognizable generation parameters in text can supply SREF, but you still need to check the original text.

Enable optional webpage Prompt copying for selected websites under Settings → Permissions & capture → Webpage Prompt copying. It recognizes visible text and clear structures, but does not guarantee recognition on every website or text block.

This is not image OCR, AI style analysis or reconstruction of original Prompts, and does not generate SREF from images. Without a text source, add your own observations or existing references.

How are permissions and data used?

Basic saves stay in your current Chrome profile’s IndexedDB. With a folder library, originals stay in your authorized folder while Chrome keeps a local cache. Website demos do not read or upload your extension library.

The extension uses browser permissions for context menus, the sidebar and storage. Some media saving and webpage Prompt copying require access to selected websites. Folder access requires explicit authorization. Optional clipboard-image prompts need separate permission and differ from manually pasting an image.

Saving media sends requests to the source website. Local storage does not mean the extension never connects. Purchases and license verification process your purchase email and Chrome installation identifier; see the privacy policy. Collection backups are not used as transaction data.

Keep your collection after the trial

Your 30 days start after the first successful email verification. Reinstalling with the same email does not restart the trial. Local collections on different installations do not sync automatically. After expiry you can still view, copy and export existing saves; adding and editing pause.

Export a complete .library backup first and check that it restores in another environment. Do not uninstall or clear Chrome data to restart a trial. See the pricing page and post-purchase guide for purchase and activation. Email identity and collection backups are separate; email verification does not restore deleted local data.

Purchases, email and license activation

Lemon Squeezy sends a receipt; SREFLY sends a separate license email. If you paid but have no serial, check your purchase email and spam folder. Use Restore purchase in the extension, or contact support@srefly.com with your order number and issue. Do not purchase again or send your full serial, verification code or card details.
